The dollar-to-cedi exchange rate has gone up again starting this week in favour of the dollar with a dollar, selling at GHS15.15 today. The cedi ended the week at GHS15.10 per dollar on Friday, May 15, 2024; however, the rate appreciated by 5 pesewas in favour of the US dollar as the cedi continued to depreciate daily.
On average, the cedi is trading at GHS14.67 in commercial banks today.
The Dollar is selling at GHS15.50 in Forex Bureaus while the buying rate quoted is GHS14.75.
The British Pound (GBP) is selling at GHS18.90, while the Euros (EUR) exchange rate for today is GH16.30.
The cedi has lost value against the major trading currencies as the economy struggles to stabilize after COVID-19.
